Personal goal...

I am making it a personal goal of mine to purchase a piano. I don't want a regular one, I want one that will actually get played (So, it's going to have to play itself LOL). I picked this one out. It's under $2,500 delivered. I'm giving myself until 12/25/10 to have it in my dining room. There's just something about a piano, especially a baby grand.

We just bought our son a piano (used) and he too wanted a Baby Grand, but he settled for an upright:-D I agree, there is something about a Baby Grand that makes it a lot more desirable than an upright. Maybe it's the styling, or the elegance, but they are a lot nicer to look at! As for not being able to play....no big deal, just buy one with a 'player' built into it!! You know, like the old player pianos? Problem solved:-D Good Luck!!

 

I was at an auction a few years ago and they rolled out a baby grand piano. people looked at it like it was from mars, no one bid on it at all, and after it was over some guy asked if they'd take $50.. AND THEY DID! If I would have known they go for $10,000 at times, I'd have made room in my tiny apartment (back then) to take a year or two and fix 'er up nice. The picture I posted is of a digital baby grand, it's pretty sweet. They're way cheaper than a normal baby grand. I think I know 3 people who have those old scroll reading player uprights. Oh well.. Everyone needs a goal. I'll never own this thing, but it's nice to dream big.

 

Hi Pax, everyone needs a goal... That is one NICE goal! You can do it, just put your mind to it, and take pics when ya get it! Goals are nice, and never out of style.... I can't play it either, but it sure is a pretty one

I think it would be wonderful to listen to that baby grand play... Quite elegant for sure... My passion is for steel guitars myself!
