    Hello,
I am not sure why but the Vendor ID and Dev ID on PCI database say this.

    Chip Number: Prespa
    Chip Description: VEN_11C1&DEV_1040&SUBSYS_11790001

This was initially an Agere chip. Agere is now merged with LSI. It was a modem and sound chip.

If SnowFalcons suggestion does not work try the driver I uploaded. It is for a Toshiba modem. The inf file references the above vendor and device ID's. Do not use the setup. Go to your Device manager and right click the device. Click the Driver tab and then select update driver. Point it to the inf file in the folder with the extracted files.I scanned it and there were no viruses but you should upload it to Virustotal for a double check.

How did you come up with a modem driver from an audio sound chip? Just curious on that

I went to the PCI Database. I then did a Vendor and Device ID search and came up with the Toshiba Modem driver. I then did a search for a number of Agere Modem drivers and finally found one with the Vendor ID, Device ID, and SUBSYS number. I opened up the driver I uploaded and in the inf file, all the numbers referenced by the OP were there. Not sure if will work though.
