What a pretty kitty! We have a cat that's very similar to your sons, only a little more on the gray side! She (Annie) could pass for this ones mother! Maybe I can get my son to put pic up, you may be surprised! How many cats are at your house?

We have 8 cats, although only 3 come inside.

Her colors are so pretty and she is really fluffy too. A friend has her Mom and she is so like her.

Too bad Mew isnt here now, she'd love this thread! You should put up pics of all your cats, for us cat lovers out here!
We used to have 7 at one time, but we lost 4 of them in 2 and a half years...You get so attached to them!
Of the 3 we have left, only one outside, she doesn't get along with the others.

    cute pussy...

i wish i could document the shananigans of my brother's cats in my apartment... one is an overweight slob who druels constantly and will eat until he throws up... the other is a petite little trouble maker who will play FETCH with anything... coins, twisty ties, bottle caps... you throw it for him and he'll bring it right back to your feet and scream at you until you throw it again...

i'm much more of a dog person but i must admit that cats are considerably easier to care for...

the best part about having 2 cats is that you get to watch them fight eachother... i love seeing them wrassle! just the other day the little one walked over to FATS (what we call the overweight one, Gizmo) and just placed his paw directly on the fat ones head... then he tried to literally sit on him with his ass... that sparked a fight that involved kicking, headlocks, some neck biting, and eventually a pin...

Gizmo (FATS, looks like a cow doesn't he)

Angel (thought this one was a girl kitty at first but anatomy proved to the contrary, thus the feminine name)

wish i could steal them from my sister!

Haha! Cats are smart though, We used to have a lot of hamsters, the dwarf hamsters and especially the chinese hamsters look like mice. sometimes they would get loose, now with 6 cats in the house they wouldnt attack these hamsters, just watch them! But on occasion, they would nail wild mice that came in the house...isn't that incredible?
One thing's for sure, any house that has cats inside don't have any mice for long!

    @ Lev

you've have picked very cute names for your cats! ;) and i wish our little one was as big as yours

    @ StarBowler

my sister named the dog probably literally after a Cowboy (as her and her husband were quite into Country music at the time and liked the name)

Star (left) is part German Shepard and part Rotweiler (hence the colors) and Cowboy is just a german shepard mut (not sure what else is in him)... but my sister and her husband really really lucked out... they have three young children, 1, 4, and 5 and the dogs are absolutely terrific with them... aside from some patient begging, the dogs have never growled, snapped, bit, or acted aggressive towards the children...

myself, well i'm longing for the day when i can have my own dog... i will definetely adopt, but look for a German Shepard or Husky mix... if i could have a purebread dog it would definetely be a Burmese Mountain Dog, they have the prettiest colors, and i love big dogs!

You look at the pics here, how can anyone hurt these precious animals? It's beyond me!

I'm not sure what a burmese mountain dog looks like,
As big as a great dane?
Once on peoples court someone had brought in a dog that was so beautiful!
The only thing I caught as to what kind of dog it was is that it had yugoslavian in its name. wish I knew! That would be the kind of dog I want to get!

Anyone own one of those hairless cats? I've seen them on tv but don't know of anyone who has one!

those are nice looking cats! I like the coons (maine) my neighbor used to breed them but I had too many cats at the time to get one! I think I'll always have cats, they can be very entertaining!

I call it kitty circus, late at night all the noise down stairs you turn on the light and all you see is cats pretending to sleep. Ya! Right must of been the dogs?

Granted, they are nocturnal! I don't know about Alaska but over here we have lots of racoons and moles (I think thats what they are) At night, especially in the warm weather when they come across each other....The racket is unbelievable! If you didn't know what was going on it would scare you, it's horrible (worse then cats in heat) and when you hear one of them cry out in pain it just makes me feel so bad but there's nothing anyone can do.
The 2 cats I have indoors. well...at night if Annie isn't sleeping with me or my son, then I know I'll be awake half the night, cause then she'll start to play with her sister, in MY room...sheesh, can't close the door or they just scratch on it until you let them in!
I'm sure those with more than one cat know what I'm talking about!
Is there anyway to stop the commotion? lol

No animals sleep in our room...that just grosses me out!

Takes 2 weeks to re-train them. Everytime they scratch you squirt them with a plant water sprayer. They don't associated it with you. It is a non-cruel way to discipline. Animals love routines and boundaries as much as kids. Really it's a case of training the parents/owners to be bothered to train the kids/animals.

Yes, I guess we spoiled them, When she sleeps with me at night, naturally the next morning my allergies are out of this world. Takes hours to clear up! She sleeps right next to my face, not good I know. I don't have to worry about clawing as I had them declawed years ago (except the one outside) I realized too late it was a cruel thing to do. I would never do that again.
I will try the squirter, my sister did that with her dog. Thanks!

I found another one I've got on the hard drive. Ignore the people, this was the Christmas card my sister and I had made the year we lived together shortly after her divorce. My boys were about 18 months old at that point. Felix is on the left, Sgt. Tibbs is on the right. Can you tell they're twin brothers? :D Tibbs unfortunately left us a little over five years ago, a victim of a bad veterinarian who didn't warn me that some cats are allergic to the anaesthetic they use, so his kidneys and liver failed (and the vet didn't recognize that's what was happening).

Well I got Punkin home after being speyed yesterday afternoon and she was well dopey. They are so funny, but she was doing ok. I turned my back for 20 minutes and then couldn't find her anywhere.

We eventually found her up in the attic above the garage!!!! How the heck did she mamage that all drugged up and unable to walk??? It would be a bit like a woman have a total hysterectomy and then going rock climbing a couple of hours later!!!

Anyway...she is doing much better this morning and eating again :D
