Received a call, just a ring actually, no one there the caller ID was
    123-456-7890
Googled it, lots of possibilities although no such area code. There is a whole forum of angry or scared people who have been receiving calls from this number, sometimes 4 or 5 a day. Some time someone is there, sometimes not. I didn't think of posting the forum URL, I'll see if I can find it again.

Oh no, I never call back numbers I do not recognize, Dan on the other hand becomes obsessed, he called this one back a number of times, then googled it. It came on our home phone not a cell, I'm sure he does the same thing on his cell too. :( I'll have to tell him to leave it alone, there are such things as wrong numbers. rolleyes

If you use certain VOIP services like SKYPE of VOIPBuster, and donot have it set up for incoming calls (costs extra on both) I have sen it show up like that on CID before. When I was still working at the Answering Service, we used to get some telemarketing calls that came in like that becuase it is cheaper for these companies to get a group rate on Skype and have people work from home.

Of course, I could be dead wrong too :):D
