Too much rush. Not much time between when the loading light goes off and the doors close.

As someone involved in industrial maintence, I would advise everyone not to trust such devices! Everything would be great if all worked as expected and envisioned. But now, the manufacturing and service emphasis is on "lean manufacturing". This translates into fewer personell and less/no stock in the store room for repairs, and I deal with this daily.

While I don't have knowledge of the train, it's operating system, etc., the problem could have been caused by a switch that suddenly stuck in one position, or the door switch was bypassed.

I remember a while back, a woman was carrying a violin and the case got caught in the door and dragged her for a while.

I'm terrified when I have to take both kids on the "L" here. It's usually me and the two kids and an umbrella stroller. Once we're on the platform, I fold up the stroller, but getting both kids off the train can be really tough. I'm always scared that the door will close with one of us still inside.

OMG!!! That's where he disappeared to!

Actually, he's gone to Indiana and Michigan this weekend playing a couple of shows with the Crossing. Anyone near Grosse Pointe Woods, MI could catch them tomorrow. Next weekend they'll be in WI. :)

Yes, Japan and Korea have official 'Pushers' to quiet literally physically shove and cram passengers into the trains. Tuff, if you have a baby or a kid straggling behind.
