Ok this is a bit of a crazy story but I got myself service on this little dumbphone from a sub of Verizon now I attempted to Port my service over to Google voice and it didn't work but what ended up happening was is that my number got stuck in the middle and I'm still connected to the Verizon towers with my number but not under any official provider so I'm basically getting unlimited talk text and data to this little dumbphone now since it's not going to a Sim card it's locked to this small phone now I'm looking for a way to try to transfer the service to a sim card or to a smartphone but since I'm not under any official provider nobody is able to do it for me and I spent over a day trying now the question is how to keep this free unlimited plan on Verizon with my number but get it moved over to a sim card?

I think Verizon would have to activate the sim card for you and of course you will have to pay Verizon for unlimited talk, text, and data.

Google says "Don't cancel your phone plan before you start the transfer."
The OP is saying he does not have a paid phone plan with Verizon on this phone. Which I think is the problem.

The OP should now post on a Google Voice forum. If the OP has no contract of any kind (including pay as you go where you top up when you want) then they can't get on Google Voice.

You people should read the message again cause you clearly didn't get it

We might have 'got it' if you didn't type a whole paragraph in one sentence.

The idea is like this, I don't care about the free service, I just want my number which is stuck somewhere between Google and some sub of Verizon. Ok maybe this all led to me getting free service but that is not stealing in the first bit, cause stealing is an intentional act, that was a accident. Now all I want help with is, due to the fact that nobody can get me my number cause it belongs to nobody, I would like help with getting that number off the dumbphone. Which is going to die sooner or later and then I'm going to be left with no connection to it. So all I wanted was some help on how I could do that or regain control of my number, and if you can't help me then don't lecture me about stealing cause your would've loved if that mistake happened to you

It's very simple - you request a sim card from a supplier of your choice either pay as you go or contract, then you seek to PORT your old number to that, or just accept the new number.
No one here in any post has attacked you and it is you coming here for help from ordinary people, not the other way round. And this is actually an IT forum, not a forum around commercial phone contracts.

As mentioned above, we are primarily a computer forum. I doubt you'll find many (if any) cell phone experts here. You'd be better off asking on the google voice help forum here: https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!forum/voice or possibly a cell phone help forum where people would be more knowledgeable in regards to what you are asking.

I think your best option is the one above:
I would imagine Verizon will release your number soon (as I believe you also mentioned) since it sounds like you don't have a contract of any sort with them. If there is another way of doing it, it doesn't seem like you'll get the answer on MGs.

    Good luck.

I have reread your post and I do not see where you say "who" you had ask to help before you posted here. Did you talk to Verizon?
My first reply to you was that I thought Verizon would have to activate your sim card.
Your last sentence in your original post said you wanted to keep the free unlimited. That is why I said you would have to pay Verizon for it. It is not free.
Sorry it was not intended to offend you, just stating the obvious. I honestly think Verizon is the only one that can help you keep your number. If they can't then it is most likely lost.

    Good luck .
