Phonecall scam

This is a new one on me, I got a phone call telling me that my computer has been reported as running slow, and to log on to a web site where all my problems would be solved, rolleyes needless to say I put the phone down and made myself a large gin and tonic. :-D:-D:-D

 

I think you were supposed to go to that web site with credit card in hand.

Let everyone know what they charged you! :-D:-D:-D

 

I hope it was a double Tony!:wine :-D I never got the phone calls before. Must be something new. I think you did the right thing, too

 

If it happens again i might just see how far they take me before asking for details. So as we can get a good angle on it and warn people.

 

That's a mistake they'll put you on their sucker list and you'll start getting calls from everywhere.

 

Just tell them that you are "Old School" and look things up in books and don't even have a computer.

 

Rikky's right. You don't want to get something started that you can't undo or have a hellish time undoing it.
