A while back I uploaded some video's to Photobucket. When accessing them I could see them fine, no problems.

But for the past few weeks I have been unable to watch those videos in all browsers :cry I've been Googling for days and cannot find a solution so far. I'm thinking that perhaps it has to do with the Java updates, Flash or with the registry, or using Https in Ixquick Search in one of the browsers?

When on Photobucket, I click each video and this message comes up every time:

    I don't even have a clue what the 2nd sentence means. :-o

My brother overseas can see them fine, using IE browser.

I'm looking forward to any answer that may help me solve this mystery!

I don't know I just seen few things out there where people are having the same issues so maybe something could be wrong to not just you? Or you could go through some reading and see some suggestions people have noted.

    Thanks silas!

Saw that thread and tried all except downloading the k-light Codec pack. No change.

Adblock causes this, I had the same problems with photobucket and videos, I added photobucket to the whitelist and all is good now.

That did it. Who would have guessed? It was the same in IE 8 but recently installed also Simple Adblock there. Thanks!!! :major :highfive Photobucket must have made changes I guess. Perhaps instead of Googling so much I should have posted here sooner instead.

I have seen quite a few pages that needed adblock turned off. I guess they can sense it's on and feel they are missing ad revenue. Some even have a page that forces you to turn it off to continue.

Yeah, who can blame all those free websites that want you to see their ads?

I was wondering how you did find out that you had to whitelist Photobucket in AdBlock Plus in order to get rid of that error message and able to play the vids again because I didn't find one single mention of it anywhere when googling, yahooing, binging, ixquicking, Microsofting etc.? :-D

I first googled, then looked here for a update for flash, etc. Then I remembered that before I've had sites block video with adblock on. I usually do that first and refresh the page. I've seen adblock 'missing' things lately like here for instance a few months when links wouldn't show up, that was adblock.

Good memory. Thanks for remembering and passing it on. :)
