Recently I tried loading some new photoshop plugins and for some reason it didn't load correctly. I removed the plugins and started Photoshop and got the following error message:

"Adobe Photoshop: Photoshop.exe - unable to locate component

This application has failed to start because vfzcore.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem."

I uninstalled Photoshop and reinstalled it but I still get the same message. After I click OK on the error message Photoshop starts and runs fine.

    How can I fix this?

Try completely uninstalling both the program and plugins using Add/Remove, then doing a manual search and removing any remnants of both.

Reboot and install just PhotoShop without the plugins for now and see how it goes.

(vfzcore.dll would be a plugin library file that an installed or partially installed plugin needs as it loads with PhotoShop but can't find)

Does anyone know what plugin file this is associated with? 2nd question, if you just uninstall them how are they re-installed?
