I am running WinXp Pro and have Apache installed. When I installed Oracle 9i, Apache got installed. I need to be able to devlope a Php website on this box. How can I do this?

I vaguely remember hearing something about adding a 'module' to Apache. Is this correct? Can somebody offer me a push in the right direction?

    Thanks

not sure about apache. However, if you go to www.php.org you can download php for windows and install it. IIS should be configured when it gets installed. If not then you'll have to set up the PHP extenstion in the ISAPI configuration for IIS.

THats www.php.net by the way ;)

PHP with IIS is easy as pie.. much eaiser/faster than Apache IMO. All you need to do is make sure IIS is installed in windows components (control panel -add remove- windows components) get the PHP installer file from www.php.com (NOT the source or zipped binaries) and the installer should set up IIS to run PHP.

Be warned that XP Pro version of IIS can only support one website at a time, compared with 2003 server which can support... lots! :) then go into the properties of default website in the IIS snap in (which is found in Administrative Tools) and change the settings to your preference. One i ALWAYS change first is the default file from Default.asp to index.asp, index.php, index.htm, index.html.

If you need any more help getting php to work, reply then we can help you further.
