Pictures from my ski trip to Salt Lake City

I just went to a conference in Salt Lake City, Utah and my boss and I got a day of skiing in the day before it started. Here is a beautiful pic of the mountains there.

 

And here is a picture of the only souvenir I brough back from the trip... a suspected torn ACL. (I find out tomorrow when I get the MRI)

 

Well Publius, my firefox won't open your picture. Bummer! My daughter just mmoved to Salt Lake with her new hubby who works for Intel. My husband went on a ski trip, got out of his suburban , fell on the ice and wrecked his acl and now has a pin in his ankle to boot. Good Luck.

 

I hate skiing.

First and last time I went I broke my leg. What they call a "Boot top" fracture. My shin broke in half right where the ski boot stops. It also broke right below my Knee-cap.

Hip cast for 1 1/2 months then cut down just under my knee for another month.

Hope your leg heals well.

 

It seems that nearly everyone that I have talked to since I had this brace on my leg has a story about getting hurt while skiing or knowing someone who has.

I think I am done with it.

I will post tomorrow after the MRI with the results, but the ACL seems most likely.

I was going to say good deal on the working vacation trip, until I saw that you gat the old A.C.L. tear injury. I hope it heals completely and quickly. Good news is, that if treated correctly, a greater than 90% completely healed success rate is typical.

 

Don't give up hope on the skiing, I've never hurt myself skiing. The trick is to not crash hard.
