Pink lines = dead card?

    Reading some of the other pink lines issues other people have had I assume my card is dieing. I doubt it's my monitor since the lines only show up on some high contrast areas, especially on buttons or interactive areas.

    Whats the prognoses doctor?

    I think you are right, the card is most likely on it's way out. Before you buy a new one, try reseating the card, reinstall/update your card's drivers, and if possible try your monitor on another computer. A bad monitor cable can cause problems also, so if you have one or can borrow one, you can rule out other possibilities without spending any $.

    Update + question: My card was dieing, luckily is was covered under my extended warranty. In place of my ati they gave me a nvidia geforce 7100 GS, is this card an improvement over my radeon x700 or did they jip me out?
