    Now that the Christmas Creep is slowly starting to appear in stores, it's a reminder that Black Friday is less than two months away.

    Since the sale items usually leak out weeks in advance, I thought it would be fun to predict what some of the items and prices will be - not necessarily the must have items; just the price points that will have people punching and pepper spraying each other when the doors open.

    My crystal ball shows:

    * Entry level 15.6" notebook (Celeron or AMD), $199 (FYI, Fry's has an ASUS 15.6" Celeron this week for $218 - new, not a refurb - in-store only.) .

    * i3 notebook, $279 - $299

    * 32" LCD/LED TV, $149

    * 1TB external 2.5" HDDs, $59

    * Depending on how well the launch and reviews of the next generation Wii are, I can see the PS3 and XBox (both of which will be updated next year) as low as $129 - $149 for a base system, $199 for an XBox with Kinect.

    Post your guesses. The winners get to camp out at Best Buy for 72 hours before the doors open. :-D

    I thought this was a prediction on how many people get trampled this year. I know.. this was tasteless. But it's a forum post. You can't eat forum posts, so of course there's no taste. In any case, since when did I have any taste any way :)

    I always do. Nothing is ever that important to me. Last year, I did some Black Friday internet shopping and O...M...G.. Between opening the website, navigating pages, waiting for pages to load, adding things to my cart, and checking out took me, oh, almost TWO HOURS! (mind you, I only bought two things and I knew exactly where they were, it wasn't like I was just perusing all the deals). I almost lost it, it was a good thing they were killer deals.:-D

    My best friend told me this story about her brother and husband deciding to go to Best Buy (a few years ago) for Black Friday sales (her husband wanted a computer, I forget what her brother wanted). They got there around 11pm Thursday night and were like 10th in line so they thought they were doing pretty good (from what I remember, BB was only handing out 50 tickets or something like that to get one of the BF items). Well, now it's like 15 minutes before they open (5 am I think) and all of a sudden, her husband says, ALL these people start getting out of cars in the lot and going and standing with the people in line, so they went from being 10th to being like 60th and not getting a ticket because the employees were handing them out to everyone, including children! They were really pissed. It should have only been 1 ticket per family or even paying customer. They haven't done it again and I don't blame them.

    All I want to know is when retailers will update their websites to include the experience of being trampled by hoards of idiots who've lost all compassion for their fellow man and must have "something" over must "give something".

    Yep, they can keep their 'sales'. They know full well 90% of people don't even get a chance to score a so-called bargain and just buy something(s) at full price, because they don't want to be a total Dick that lined up for 12 hrs and fought WW III for nothing.rolleyes Half the time, what they're fighting for ends up busted, anyway.

    Maybe they'll create a video game similar to Doom or Call of Duty. Kill off your opponents and you can buy the $149 xBox or $99 TV set. :-D
