    Hey everyone!
    The wife and I are visiting friends in Ireland for a week in november.
    Aside from anywhere with a hot fire, are there any suggestions on places to see?
    Her friends just moved there from Barcelona, so I am unsure of their familiarity with the area.
    Ideas from the fantastic UK'ers or anyone else here is welcome.

    any pub, on any street, should afford you not only a warm fire, but also a warm welcome. i have no doubt you will have a marvelous time. the irish are openhearted, generous, and funny.

    Great map http://www.dublincity.ie/visiting_the_city/places_to_visit/visitors_map/visitors.htm just hover over a section of the city map on the right and click for a larger view plus a list of the places to see,

    Dublin Castle
    The Cathederals
    and O'Connell St ( shopping ) are well worth seeing but is generally really busy most days

    this link will give you local transport links if needed for Trams/Buses http://www.dublincity.ie/visiting_the_city/places_to_visit/

    You're so lucky, that's all I have to say.

    I'd pay you to get me a souvenir.

    The Brazen Head is a pretty neat place. It's the oldest registered pub in the UK, I believe, and is something like 1000 years old. It's still a running pub today. Kinda cool to plop down and sip at a pint of Guinness thinking about how many other people have done the same over the course of history.

    @Halo-
    Thank you very much for all of the great links. I am glad to see some fresh sites, as all of the ones my wife and I pulled up looked pretty similar.
    Are 50 open browser windows supposed to slow computers a little?:rolleyes:
    Have to look into The Brazen Head

    Luckily I have been to Ireland, but these days mostly get to visit Belfast NI, both nice places with friendly people, you'll love it I'm sure.
