Have just come here to beg you not to follow the example of Softpedia and overload your website with graphic images in the style of Blogs and "Metro". As a provider of information and download links to software, I feel the current layout of MG is ideal. It allows visitor to quickly and easily locate specific software or just browse the daily listing to see if there is anything new that sparks their interest. If you ever do consider such changes, please ask current users for their thought on the matter.

Many thank for such a great service.

Maybe I posted my rant in the wrong thread. I thought others would be commenting on it but none have done so as yet. Maybe I'm the only one here who is occasionally disloyal to MG and uses other download site as well :-o:)

No, you're not the only one that uses other download sites. I use Freeware Files.com as well as MG's. I only, occasionally, have used Softpedia or other download sites and the "Metro" style doesn't bother me too much. I've learned to navigate it somewhat by experimenting with Windows 8/8.1 (which I prefer to 8). But, for my installed OSes, I run XP Pro and Vista Ultimate on separate drives and use EasyBCD to switch between them. I've seen screen captures of Windows 9 which uses the Metro interface but, also, has a Task Bar and Start Button. I understand that a "Preview" release is scheduled for September 30th.

The "metro" style you are referring to is a flat style.
