Please Double Check

Helping a friend with a slow computer. Did the Read me first and have attached the logs. I believe its clean but I just want to make sure everything is o.k. before I let him go with his machine.

Scan with HijackThis and check the boxes for the following entries:
( Make sure ALL browser windows are closed when you click FIX )

R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,SearchAssistant =

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [QuickTime Task] "C:\Program Files\QuickTime\qttask.exe" -atboottime
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [MSConfig] C:\WINDOWS\PCHealth\HelpCtr\Binaries\MSConfig.exe /auto

Again, make sure ALL browser windows are closed when you click FIX.

Next, run CCleaner to clean up cookies and temp files.

Once you complete the above, reboot and let me know how things are running.

Are you having any current problems?

 

Dont think he has any probs now, although the only real sign that he had anything was that he said it was "slowing down" while playing bf2. He did have some stuff but anyway, thanks a lot for doubel checking for me. Always good to have a pair of fresh eyes.
