I am going to be installing a 2nd hard drive on my dimension E510. Maybe 500GB. I am thinking of making this newer, faster drive my main drive. What exactly is ghosting or creating a drive image to plaxe on this second drive? Is it actually placing a copy of the operating system and all files/programs on the new drive?

    Thanks

    Hi

Yes Ghosting or Imaging is creating an exact copy of your HDD including OS, software install and all data files, and being able to recover it onto the same drive in case of malware, corruption of the OS etc or to put onto another HD replacing an older drive.
