I received this joke in my email and I just do not get it... am I missing the humor in this or is it just not that funny? Please explain, it's driving me nuts!!

    Computer Joke

    Customer: I don't have a '7' key.
Support: It's between the '6' and '8' key.
    Customer: I don't have a '7' key.
Support: Do you see the '1' key?
    Customer: Yes.
Support: What's to the right of that?
    Customer: '2'
    Support: And further right?
    Customer: '3', '4', '5', '6'
    Support: What's the next key?
    Customer: '8'
Support: It should be to the left of the '8'
    Customer: Oh, that '7' key?

aLLiKZar It's not too late to back out!

Not really that funny but I would imagine
the customer sees thr & instead of 7.

looking for r"seven key",like the one looking for the "any" key to press.

At first I was thinking that the customer was seeing the & instead of the 7, but at the end when they say "Oh, that '7' key?", that throws me off. Then I thought maybe they were looking for a "seven" key as the "any" key old joke goes, but if that was the case, how did the customer find the 6 an 8 key then? Man, very frustrating joke to get.... I'll just stick to everyone else's conclusion that it is just not that funny!

Ohhhhh, I finally get it after hours of investigation, lol... I see what you are saying now aLLiKZar... the customer sees the & and thinks it's an eight, (although they had no problems reading the numbers before that key but that's beside the point), then when the guy says to the left of the '8' key, the customer looks to the left of the '&' key (the '7' key) and sees the '6' key, but instead of the '6' the customer now sees the '^' above it and thinks that's the seven and says "Oh that '7' key?"... but, as we all concluded, what a horrible joke. Where is the consistancy of it all? I mean, computer illiterate or not, why would the customer read the numbers at the bottom of the keys then jump to the symbols at the top when they get to the '7' key? I would love to shoot the author of this joke for stealing hours away from my life!!! Bastard!!!

    "Oh THAT joke". :p

Actually, most keyboards have two seven keys, both to the left of the eight key, one on the alphanumeric keypad.. ;)
