    Hello All,
    I have given my computer a virus. I am 99% sure it came from facebook. The virus is win64/patched.a My internet redirects me to random websites and my AVG cannot take care of the problem. This is my work computer and I am going to be in sooooo much trouble, please help. I have attached all of the files you requested, to the best of my ability. Thank you so much!

    PS I did the MG tools report but I couldnt get it to upload due to size...I think I must be tring to upload the wrong thing. I have it in a zip file. I have tried to go back through the directions for this but something is not woring correctly for me.

    Double-click RogueKiller.exe to run. (Vista/7 right-click and select Run as Administrator)
    When it opens, press the Scan button
    Now click the Registry tab and locate these detections:

    • [HJ INPROC][ZeroAccess] HKCR\[...]\InprocServer32 : (C:\$Recycle.Bin\S-1-5-21-630141294-3811226478-2821971402-7819\$1154e76cfdbf37b4e98253993095943c\n.) -> FOUND
    Place a checkmark each of these items, leave the others unchecked.
    Now press the Delete button.

    Now click the Files/folders tab and locate these detections:

    • [ZeroAccess][FILE] @ : C:\Windows\Installer\{1154e76c-fdbf-37b4-e982-53993095943c}\@ --> FOUND

    Place a checkmark each of these items, leave the others unchecked.
    Now press the Delete button.
    When it is finished, there will be a log on your desktop called: RKreport[2].txt
    Attach RKreport[2].txt to your next message. (How to attach)
    Do not reboot your computer yet.

    Rescan with HitmanPro, when it finds services.exe - Virus, allow it to Replace by clicking the down arrow next to the detection and choosing Replace.
    Choose to Delete these files if they are detected:

    Ignore all other detections.
    Afterwards, click the Next button.
    HitmanPro may want to reboot the PC in order for the changes to take affect, please do so.

    After the reboot, rescan with both RogueKiller and Hitman and attach those new logs as well.

    WOW! Thank you for such a quick reply!

    Here is what happened.

    I ran rougue killer and completed this task below

    Now click the Registry tab and locate these detections:
    [HJ INPROC][ZeroAccess] HKCR\[...]\InprocServer32 : (C:\$Recycle.Bin\S-1-5-21-630141294-3811226478-2821971402-7819\$1154e76cfdbf37b4e98253993095943c\n.) -> FOUND

    then my computer automatically rebooted! I think rkreport 4 are those results

    when my computer came back up I finished with rouge killer by completeing the rest of the task below but some of the files were not there

    see report RK report 5

    then I ran Hitman pro---but no threats detected

    I then rebooted and ran Rougue Killer and HitmanPro one last time

    all results are below

    Thank you so much!

    You need to tell me how things are running and what issues remain, if any.

    Things seem to be better. I am not having anymore redirects and no more notices from AVG. Do the logs look ok?

    Do I need to erase my restore points?

    Thank you

    If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommend you keep Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware. You can uninstall RogueKiller and HitManPro.
    2. Go back to step 4 of the READ ME and renable your Disk Emulation software with Defogger if you had disabled it.
    3. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.
    4. If running Vista or Win 7, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    5. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis.
    6. Goto the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders
      related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
    7. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link
    Malware removal from a National Chain = $149
    Malware removal from MajorGeeks = $0
