PLEASE HELP!! Blurry Drop Down Menus - XP Sp3

Blurry Drop Down Menus

Just did a brand new build with

Intel Core Duo
Gigabyte - GA P31 S3G Motherboard
ASUS EAX1650GE Graphics Card

Installed the version of windows I normally use..

Windows XP Service Pk 3 (Use on this laptop with no problems what so ever)

Heres the problem:

All the drop down menus on the left in my computer, explorer, my docs etc.. Go to a black and white blur when minimizing and maximising.. during the actual contrast between.

I have all the latest drivers installed on the graphics card, latest bios on it, all latest drivers on the chipset and am beyond baffled!!

Does anyone know how to resolve this and first with the correct answer received a bonus prize of a paypal donation to them or their favourite freeware software maker!!

Am desperate to fix this. Any suggestions would be great..
