Please help! Braviax.exe

OK, I am very computer illiterate. My daughter figured out that Braviax.exe was on our computer and soon realized after research that it is a serious problem. I have been reading many posts on different solutions but I cannot even access the internet at this point. We have regular AOL dial up and the system says that it cannot find a modem. With that I cannot update my virus software or download any new software. We have Hijackthis installed but Braviax is not allowing it to run. Any suggestions to start clearing this off my computer. Please Help!!
