Please help...cant run adaware or antivirus....anything

I came home last night realizing my firewall was disabled...not done by me or anyone else in the house. When I tried to run a couple programs I noticed a huge problem. I then tried to run adaware, but to no avail...just locked everything up. I rebooted...tried to run antivirus...same thing. Well, I tried to reinstall adaware...and it told me i did not have permissions to install anything. Now it just keeps popping up an error stating that directory or file cannot be created. I do not know what else to do. Any advice would be helpful....Thanks in advance

• Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.

After doing ALL of the above you still have a problem make sure you have booted to normal mode and run the steps in the below link to properly use HijackThis:

When you return to make your next post make sure you attach the following logs and that you have run these scans in the following order too (these scans are covered in steps 6 & 7 of the READ & RUN ME sticky)
