Please help get laptop clean!!!!

    Laptop running slow, hangs up when switching between windows, tasks in windows, etc. Programs frequently hang up and programs often show “Not Responding” status in Task Manager. When navigating through folders, they seem to spend a lot of time re-indexing before allowing me to open files. IE, Firefox, Chrome browsers slow to load and frequent "Not Responding" status Laptop is approx. 4 years old.

    I've used Malwarebytes & SuperAntiSpyware to remove infections in the past, but currently they are not finding any infections. Ive read thru & followed the "READ & RUN ME FIRST. Malware Removal Guide". Ran all the scans an attached the logs. Thanks for the help!!!!

    Rerun Hitman and have it remove all it finds.

    • Shut down your protection software now to avoid potential conflicts.
    • Run the tool by double-clicking it. If you are using Windows Vista or Seven, right-mouse click it and select Run as Administrator.
    • The tool will open and start scanning your system.
    • Please be patient as this can take a while to complete depending on your system's specifications.
    • On completion, a log (JRT.txt) is saved to your desktop and will automatically open.
    • Attach JRT.txt to your next message.


    Reboot and rescan with Hitman and attach the log.

    This does not appear to be a malware issue.

    Hey Tim - Thanks for the assistance. I ran Hitman & removed findings. Ran JRT, rebooted, ran Hitman again & it found some more stuff. I attached the logs.

    Go ahead and have Hitman fix what it found. Tell me what issues remain.
