Please help IM BEGGIN YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyone have any idea what the following two icons are on my start bar....

The two lock icons, one with an "A" the other with a "9"

I mouse over, right, left click, ctrl click, no info pops up what so ever... Man this is getting to me...

If anyone has any way to identify what these are please let me know.:yum

Don't see them on XP Home or Pro either.

 

One of my machines is a Gateway E4100 and it doesn't have those icons,so may be a configuration thing maybe?

 

Yes I've got a Diamond Touch Wireless KB and Mouse and its software has the same kind of thing in the taskbar (I just removed it )

 

So it has to do with something connected?

 

Yer basically, if its a laptop could be some software that has come with it and simply needs to be disabled/removed.

If its a desktop, it is most likely software for your Keyboard that again either needs to be removed or disabled.

 

Thanks guy, I appologize for not posting back sooner. I just tonight checked my e-mail (one hell of a week at work) and saw that this thread had been approved.

And wow, was I surprised at the number of responses, thank you very much for all your help.

I did find out that it was my caps and num key being on about 3 hours after I posted this question.

**Also, I am running a DELL M1730 Laptop***

I'm thinking it's also software related, although now that I know what it is, it doesn't really bother me so I wont bother to post my start up programs.
