please help me upgrade my pc!

Hi everyone,

I have a standard Acer Aspire M5100, 9500 AMD Phenom Quad Core, 2GB DDR2 memory with a nVidia GeForce 8400( which I been told is a low end graphics card), would it be worth upgrading my pc? if so, can anyone give me tips wich way i should go about it? I would be using it for games, mainly high end racing games.

well that seems like good news then, thanks, there are alsorts really, race driver grid, need for speed, them sort really. Im looking to save up for the logitech g25 racing wheel.

so what would you recomend? im running vista, home premium, and its a 32 bit, i think. not sure what that means, : )

Well, seems your graphics card should be alright for playing those games. I thought possibly you were playing more graphic intensive games. You should be alright with those specs. Only thing I would suggest for an upgrade is your RAM, but even that it should be alright. Do you currently own those games? Possibly what you can do is try testing them first on your current configuration, see how they run, and then go from there.

 

I googled your mother board to see what I could find on RAM upgrades, and my antivirus freaked out as soon as the google search results page opened... it said there was an infection in my browser cache LOL Since you have a thread in the malware forum, I found that hilarious. :-D

From your specs what you need to upgrade is your graphics card and it would be worth it

Something along the lines of nvidia geforce 9600gso

Oh and what spec RAM is that? do a scan on www.crucial.com to find out
