please!!!Help me!!!

    I am in need of some help here:) I am not sure if something is wrong and if I came to the wrong forum please redirect me:)
    I was trying to do a Search and destroy scan and I was trying to get a updayte, a message came up saying error retrieving update info file then goes on to say Socket Error#10061 onnection refused, please can someone help me out here??Thank you in advance:):confused:

    More than likely the cause of the problem is that you are behind a proxy server or you are having a firewall problem.

    If you behind behind a proxy server, follow the below:
    Run Spybot and on the top menu select Mode > Advanced mode > Settings > Settings. Now scroll down until you see the option Web update. Check the last item in the list Use proxy to connect to update server. A pop-up will come up were you can enter the information required. You need to provide this info yourself.

    If you have a firewall, you must make sure it is not blocking Spybot.
    Reauthorize SpybotSD.exe to access the internet within your firewall. If you have a firewall, and are not sure if that is the cause of the problem, you could (for a short period) disable the firewall and see if the updates work properly.
