Please help - problems with anti-virus

I originally had Panda 2006 Anti-Virus on my computer. It was time to renew it, and I decided to try AVG Anti-Virus Professional Edition (purchased it). My son had problems playing on-line games after installing AVG. Being that I don't know much about computers, I decided to get a refund on AVG and purchased Panda Internet Security 2007. After uninstalling AVG (using their uninstall), and installing Panda, I am having problems getting on the internet. I keep getting the error "webproxy.exe - unable to locate componet" and "pavipc.dll not found, try re-installing". I tried reinstalling Panda to fix errors, but I get the same thing. What do I need to do to fix this problem. I don't know much about computers, so I really need some help and I'm getting very frustrated. I tried calling Panda and they think there are parts of AVG still in my computer.

go to Google ,download free Ccleaner ,uninstall panda,run Ccleaner,to clean out old parts of Avg ,then try and reinstall panda,but not when you are connected to the internet.

 

For an extra-thorough cleaning, boot into safe mode and run CCleaner. It finds even more stuff that way.

 

I downloaded and ran ccleaner. It found several things. Afterwards, I installed Panda, and I'm having the problems again. I still get webproxy.exe - unable to locate component and pavipc.dll not found. When I have no virus protection on there, I don't have the problem.

What else can I do? I'm afraid I'll get a virus.
