Hey peeps, I was playing around with my CCleaner and accidently deleted

    Home Portal Monitor
Critical Resources seem to be missing- Bitmap:SysTrayMenu

    and

    Home Portal Monitor
Missing .ini file or registry value- SysTrayMenu

These two files are very critical in helping me access the internet.I have my many games on this pc, so Im alittle reluctant to do a complete OS reinstall. I spoke with Yahoo Tech Assistance, and they said....

"The error you are getting may have been due to some components in your
Operating System being damaged or corrupted.

You may need to have the Operating System uninstalled and reinstalled.
The Operating System has some special settings that require the
expertise of the manufacturer. If we try to edit some settings, it may just
    do more harm than good."

So, would I be able to do this? Or should I get with Microsoft ? Would I be able to do this without having to delete my games aswell.

My specs are in my sig, its the first pc listed in my sig.

Does CCleaner have a restore function? If so give it a go.

What about a system restore? I couldn't see from your post what your OS is. I'm assuming it's XP something.

Yeh I'm running WinXp. I tried System Restore and still havent been able to reinstall my Yahoo internet. Also, I cannot uninstall anything once I install it, I'm guessing thats what the missing files do. I have Spysweeper FW, and now its been corrupted as well and cannot be uninstalled. When this first happened I did a Destructive Recovery and that still didnt fix the problem, and now I have all my games installed on it...

Yeh CCleaner does have a Save option, but wouldnt you know it...I didnt save my files before I played around with it....

    thx for the replies guys.

edit: My system was clean before I did this as well ( Panda and Spysweeper coming up clean during sweeps w/ no strange pc activity)

Some programs, through add/remove program within control panel offer a repair option. Try that.

Other than that, you can try Re-Installing your Home Portal, or Re-Installing your Yahoo internet software to re-establish your Internet connection. If it asks for upgrade, try that first.

Havent looked through the repair options, I just used System restore. But other than that...I did do a complete reinstall of the Home Portal and the Yahoo Interent Software which still didnt work. I also did the Destructive Recovery and still wasnt able to reinstall the internet and my system was still reporting the missing .ini file and registry file.
