please help

    i'm fairly new to the computer world.my old windows 98 serves it's purpose.i no longer have access to drive "D".says it's not accessible or not ready.any quick fix for this problem?

    Right-Click on the D: drive, select Properties > Recording Tab and then check the "Enable CD Recording On This Drive" box.

    See if that does it.

    no enable option!tells me to go to command prompt and re-enter files.is'nt there a program or a person that can do that for me?
