I dont know how your tring to start it, whats on your computer, what the specifics of this is. But have you tried to unplug all usb, scanner, printer, everything to just it it to the main computer. And starting it? Sometimes it wont start if it has something in it.

Could also try this static thing Ive heard before unplug it. remove the battery. Hold the power button for 10 seconds. Plug it in, start it, and once the laptop has already started and is booting windows, then plug the battery back in. Let us know if that works!

If you were messing with something like firefox or internet explorer and you may have gotten a virus and it shut down and cant be rebooted maybe try this soon as your pc boots start pressing f-12 then reboot from last known good configuration

Theres other things you can suggest and try.. but I would ask what the specifics are of your computer is? What were you doing before it mess up (were you downloading, nothing it was in bag ,I had a storm while plug in, anything that you did before this happen-even tho its just something simple could help someone to find out) Also what exactly is it doing. You start it and it starts up for seconds then it shuts down? Or what lights are on it exactly? Can you hear it running while no screen or what?

If you remove the battery and just connect to the outlet, what happens?
Also, what is the brand and model of the notebook and what version of windows is on it?

The AC adapter is designed for use with your notebook only. Connecting the AC adapter to another device can damage the adapter.
The AC power cord supplied with your notebook is for use in the country where you purchased your notebook. If you plan to go overseas with the notebook, consult your dealer for the appropriate power cord.
The AC adapter serves as a converter from AC (alternating current) to DC (direct current) power because your notebook runs on DC power, but an electrical outlet usually provides AC power. It operates on any voltage in the range of 90-265V AC. The battery pack automatically recharges while your notebook is connected to AC power.

Determining the Amount of Battery Life Left
The battery is made up of chemical material and its capacity cannot be measured physically. The only way of knowing the battery charge is by estimation. However, the estimation may get less accurate under some situations (for example, after a long period of storage or after replacement of battery packs). If this happens, you should fully recharge the battery.
