Please help!!!

I am trying to find a way to do an automated removal of Personal files from my companies Outlook. After speaking with Microsoft this can be done by modifying an INF file.

This is what needs to be done to do this:

1. Open the Mapisvc.inf file in an editor such as Notepad.

2. Under [SERVICES], put a semicolon ( ; ) in front of the following line to comment it out:

MSPST MS=Personal Folders

3. Comment out these additional lines:



Providers=MSPST MSP

PR_SERVICE_DLL_NAME=mspst.dll

PR_SERVICE_SUPPORT_FILES=mspst.dll

PR_SERVICE_ENTRY_NAME=PSTServiceEntry

PR_RESOURCE_FLAGS=SERVICE_NO_PRIMARY_IDENTITY

[MSPST MSP]

This appears to be fairly simple, but unfortunately, I'm a newbie when it comes to any type of coding. Does anyone know how to write the VB Script or some sort of code to do this?

just open that file, put a semicolon where they said then save it and close it. I could write a VB program but it would take at least a half hour, Id have to write code to open that file, take each line in one by one and see if it was one that you pointed , then id have to write code to write those lines back with a semi colon in front of them.

 

What would be hugely easier than a program is to just send the file to one of us we can edit it for you and send it back, our just copy and paste the text on the board and I can give you what to copy back.
