Please help!

    I'm so hoping you can help me. I'm running WindowsXP Pro and I followed all of your instructions for really cleaning and scanning, but I still have problems. I founf it almost impossible to do the first 2 scans (Trend Micro & Symantec) while in Safe Mode. Those I did in normal mode. I have run Hijack This and am standing by with my logfile. Remaining problems: sluggish system, a pop-up toolbar on the lower right corner of my desktop, webpages being taken over by another screen, the loss of my ability to get into my email inbox (Eudora), and the loss of my ability to defrag.
    I work at home and this is my work computer! Ack!

    Hi Glasbeth,

    Please send us a HijackThis Log. Be sure to follow the instructions below:

    Note that your HijackThis should be up-to-date (v1.99.1) and MUST be extracted to its own safe folder – C:\Program Files\HijackThis ! Should you need a Fresh Download of HJT, get it HERE: HijackThis v1.99.1

    Also note that, before you scan, you MUST close all running programs including your web browser, e-mail and items in the system tray.

    Please save your HJT Log as a .txt File and attach it via the "Manage Attachments" tool in the Additional Options section when you post.

    I am heading out the door, but somebody will take a look as time permits.
