Please Help!

Hey everyone, I was referred this site by a friend and I'm really hoping you guys can assist in fixing this problem I've got, so I dont have to shell out 100+ for a professional to come over and do it. Anyway, Im not sure if its malware but heres a recap of whats happening with my machine:

When I log in or reboot, my taskbar doesnt appear at first. So the only way I can fix this is by adding a quick link taskbar, like a My Documents or something and then removing it. At that point I get a real taskbar but the problem is whenever I minimize a window it doesnt appear at the bottom. On the surface this seemed like a small problem but at the same time some funky stuff started happening with my internet. Some websites were being displayed very oddly in IE, so Ive gone to Firefox. Neither browser is letting me copy and paste, and both are acting sort of strange. In addition, the "Search" feature on my start menu doesnt allow me to click on it, and Im sure a few others things have done dead that I cant find. Ive ran Ad-Aware SE and Spybot Search and Destroy, both are saying my PC is clean. So my question becomes, how do I fix this! It seems sort of virusish, but I cant really pinpoint where the problem is or what to fix. I downloaded an app from that kellys-korner site I believe its called, a Taskbar Repair program but it didnt work and gave me a run-time error every time I tried to repair the "Minimized Windows Dont Appear" tab.

Anyway, PLEASE help me with this its driving me nuts and with midterms next week Im in bad shape if I cant get my computer running normally. Thanks so much in advance and if I get this fixed soon I will gladly spread your guys site everywhere!
