  1. Hello Geeks,

I have an external hard drive that I recently changed into a new caddy and it was working fine until a few days ago when I plugged it in and got a error saying "Please Insert A Disk Into USB Drive (W: )." So I went to see details in CMD through Diskpart and it shows it there as a removable disk with 0 bytes available and used. My next step was to assign it a new drive letter so I did that with a few several different letter to no avail. I then went to recover the data using EaseUS Data Recovery but it did not find it through its scan so I did manually but as soon as I clicked on it through the program but I got the same error message. I'm at a dead end here if any one has had this issue and has solved it please share your solution I'd appreciate it.

If the only change you made was changing the caddy, I'd say it looks like the caddy is the problem.
