First time poster so I'd like to thank you for your help in advance.

Like many others that have posted recently on here, I have the above on a white screen (and in German) when I start the computer both in normal mode and safe mode on my netbook. Noticed what others have been asked to do so I attach the FRST.txt below.

Not sure if this info is needed but I run Windows XP on an Advent 4211 Netbook

Save fixlist.txt to your flash drive.

    • You should now have both fixlist.txt and FRST.exe on your flash drive.

Now reboot back into the System Recovery Options as you did previously.
Run FRST and press the Fix button just once and wait.
The tool will make a log on the flashdrive (Fixlog.txt).
Please attach this to your next message. (See how to attach)

Now boot into normal Windows can continue with the below.

    Thanks TimW.

I've started the FRST fix however the white screen has now reappeared over the top of the FRST program as it started running. Will the FRST fix run properly or will I need to restart? And if it is running properly how long does the fix take approximately before I shutdown?

    Fixlog.txt as requested

I'm still having the problem and it seems to relate to the fact I haven't run the Fixlog in System Recovery. I cannot find a System Recovery option when I press F8 upon starting. I can run safe mode with command prompt however it only gives me a few seconds before the annoying white screen appears

I have the Advent Recovery CD/DVD but haven't a clue how I can run this as there's no disc drive on the netbook. I copied the files from this CD/DVD onto a flash drive and tried to boot from the disk but nothing seems to happen. :confused

Final update to my last post, the Kaspersky WindowsUnlocker worked perfectly. Few things to tidy up on my machine but the major problem is now gone. Thanks again for your help here.

Good to know as we have for the most part used manual removal methods. Good to know Kaspersky worked. ;)

Definitely a good option for those who can't access System Recovery from their BIOS screen.

Other than updating a handful of programs, the only other major thing I had to do after running the Kaspersky program was to fix the problem of not being able to right-click on my desktop and to restore the icons that were previously there. I followed the instructions here and all seems to be working fine.

After that I ran a full system scan with Avast (running prior to boot) which got rid of a few problems here and there and it's running as good as I remember it. If there's anything else I can elaborate on please give me a shout.

    Cheers!
