pls help

    My friend is complaining she knows someone is watching her conversations on her instant messanger. Can someone do this and how do you stop it.
    Any help would be appreciated

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

    Well your friend could run the below malware cleaning procedure which would help us identify any potential malware on her PC, but what I would suggest is that she go to another PC and change her screen names and passwords and go from there. Does she have proof that someone is seeing her messages? Is she sending things out to a group? Does anyone else have the password to her user account on her PC??? Does anyone else use the PC? Are all user accounts password protected?

    Malware Cleaning Procedure

    Please follow the instructions in the below link and attach the requested logs when you finish these instructions. If something does not run, write down the info to explain to us later but keep on going. Do not assume that because one step does not work that they all will not.
