    The unfortunate series of events:

    1. I plugged in the hard drive my sister had been using to watch some movies/tv shows and this is where the fun began.

    2. I needed some subtitles for a movie and began searching. Went to opensubtitles.org and it happened to be riddled with ads and adware, causing me to stupidly click on something I would have preferred not to.

This happened and I quarantined it.

    3. I then ran a scan with Avira (Full scan) and to my surprise I had 32 'threats'. These all came from the hard drive and the rest of my computer was supposedly clean. The funny thing is I have been using the same external hard drive for months like this and nothing came of it and it hasn't been altered or touched since my sister backed up her computer onto it.

The avira logs are included in the attachments. I quarantined all of it and rescanned, it was clean supposedly. Just to be safe I came to you guys to help me find out if anything leaked over or if the drive is still infected which I don't think it is and I don't think they were active or maybe were duds or something idk .

    4. Did all the scans and uploaded them here. Also Malwarebytes was perfectly clean.

Would appreciate any help, I'm going to go to bed now and check back when I wake up cheers.

I'd also like to add there have been no unknown programs installed, redirecting or any sort of slow downs on the pc. It's as good as new and has been even with the use of the HDD.

Other than the junkware that Avira cleaned up from this other drive, your logs are all clean. I do recommend that you clean up your temp files though.

Care to share the best way to go around doing that? e.g. The best efficient software.

Thanks for the reply as well.

    You're welcome.
In the READ & RUN ME FIRST instructions ( Step 5: Temp File/Folder Cleaning ) we asked you to run CCleaner.
