plum pc virus

    I am continually picking up a virus/malware called PLUM. Malwarebytes is sucessfully deleting it only for it to return a couple of days later. please can an MMG (Marvelous Major Geek) help, Thank you

    Yup, go to malware or try SuperAntispyware and run both in SAFE MODE. Worth a shot :)

    Is it PLUM or PUM?
    PUM in malwarebytes stands for Potentially Unwanted Modification
    I had two and when I looked at the items, these were things I wanted changed so I selected each item and told MBAM to ignore these two items.

    One dealt with my wish to not have Documents, Music etc showing up on my start menu and the other was turning off the unwanted reminders about updates and the shield in the tray.
