plz help

    Hey guys,

    I have followed all the steps in the "READ & RUN ME FIRST" thread and unfortunately I'm still experiencing problems .

    Symptoms:
    - Printers and Faxes almost never opens and when it does it hangs
    - Printing form any application will cause the app to hang 99% of the time
    - Photoshop crashes on startup when it gets to "Loading system profiles...."
    - Every time i reboot/shutdown there are several apps that need to be ended (includes explorer.exe and Canon iR1510 status monitor).

    Note: Aswell as the tools listed in the "READ & RUN ME FIRST" i have also run the following in an attempt to cover all bases: Adaware, Trend Micro Online Scanner, Microsoft Malicious Software Removal Tool, AVG Antivirus, Symantec AntiVirus, Registry Mechanic and probably a few others i have forgotten.

    I couldn't get CounterSpy to install so i used AVG AntiSpyware

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

    When I first read your list of problems, my immediate reaction was that they do not sound like they are related to malware. I then looked thru your logs, and they confirmed my first reaction. You are not having malware problems. As such I'm going to have you run one more scan just to be on the safe side, and then if nothing is found, I will move this thread to the Software Forum.

    Now please download F-Secure's BlacklightBeta
    • Download fsbl.exe and save it to the Desktop.
    • Once saved... double click fsbl.exe to install the program.
    • Click accept agreement and Click scan
    • This application may trigger a warning from your antivirus. Let the driver load. Wait for it to finish.
    • If it displays any items...don't do anything with them yet. Just hit exit (close)
    • It will drop a log on Desktop that starts with fsbl....big number
    Please attach the BlackLight log.

    It's not malware. Why do you want to remove your attachments? If I move this thread to the Software Forum so you can try to get help there, some of the info there could be useful. There really isn't anything in the logs that you need to worry about.

    Would you like me to move this to the Software Forum?
