recently I bought a PNY Geforce 8500 GT 512mb video card for my computer, which is a GT5026E, with an MS-7248R for a MOBO, it comes with ATI Radeon 200 Xpress Integrated graphics chip.

the thing is, I've spent at least 5 hours trying to install the new card and still no luck, the first time I tried uninstalling the drivers of the Ati Radeon 200, shutting down the pc, putting the new card in, and using the port on that card to conenct my monitor, and be able to install the drivers, but all I get is a blank screen, or the typical "No Signal" msg from the monitor, which is followed by a blank screen.

I've tried alot of things like, going into Bios and changing the Monitor Init First to PCI-E, or anything related touninstalling of the Ati Radeon, but no matter what I do, I just don't get any image of my comp when I try to use the new card, thus I can't install the drivers for it, and everytime I uninstall the Ati Radeon 200 Xpress, after it restarts the computer, and I plug the VGA jack to the Port in it (because the one on my card won't work) the Ati Radeon 200 Xpress will still appear as installed, and enabled for use

I've tried installing the drivers for the Geforce 8500 GT but it just tells me "The graphics adapter installed in the system is not compatible with the current set of drivers" another thing that bugs me if the fact that this card has no way to be connected to the power supply, and there's no loose cables coming from the power suply that can be connected to anything around it, though from what I knew, there's already something supposed to be connected to the PCI-E 16X to give it it's power, but I have no idea where it's supposed to be, how to check it, and how to know if that's even working right.

    any help would be appreciated.

Did your card come with a Y cable to connect it to the PCI-Express slot? In order for the card to work in the first place it has to get power from the PCI slot so if it's not getting power, then that's why you aren't getting any video. Also follow your power supply cable to see if the PCI express plug isn't connected to the motherboard.

As stated above, some cards come with a 'Y' splitter; one end connects to the card, the other end connects to the power supply. If this isn't connected, you won't get any video. Some motherboards will have an extra power connector that must be connected when running a PCI Express card; sometimes it's a 4pin molex, sometimes it's a 6pin and sometimes it's an 8pin. Regardless, the motherboard would have shipped with the adapter needed to connect it to the power supply. Upon looking up the specs on the mother board (I could only find a pic of it at eBay) and the video card, I think the card is DOA. There are no auxiliary power connectors on either the mobo or the video card. Did the video card ever give you any video? A post screen? Anything? If not, it's probably dead out of the box. It happens. Hopefully you bought it new from a reputable dealer that will replace or refund it. If you did buy it new, and the dealer won't help, go directly to PNY and they'll take care of it.
