    Hi,

I've been all over looking for a solution to this issue and came across your suggestion to delete overlay.xul. This seems to have helped me as well, though I've also run Combofix, MGtools, Malwarebytes, SUPERAntiVirus, etc. multiple times.

My question: Does deleting that file affect IE7? If so, how? My IE was hanging and having problems loading, along with my Firefox redirect issue. I have been running the NoScript addon to Firefox for a couple of days now to combat the redirect so I'm not sure when exactly the problem was fixed.

I was just wondering if deleting overlay.xul could have an affect on IE7.

Thanks for all you do. I understand if you can't reply to this since you're pretty swamped here. Just curious--and thankful that the issue is resolved. Hopefully. rolleyes

The overlay file is only found in FireFox.....your issues with IE would be caused by something else. (If it is just slow, you can run CCLeaner and see if that helps).
