How about a poll to see how many people spell poll "pole"?

 

I admit to: 2 prs. work boots, 2 prs. dress shoes, 1 pr. running shoes, 1 pr. bedroom shoes. When any of them start wearing thin, I either donate or ditch 'em, and replace them.

Honest.

I might have!!! LOL I got this crazy notion just a minute ago to check the forum because I had a few free minutes and look what I found. :-D

 

Guess you never saw the one where the officer busts about 100 little panes of glass out of this huge front window of a house he thought was on fire. Turned out it was the house BEHIND that one . . . :-D I felt bad for the guy . . . but it was funny.

How about a poll to see if more people feel bad for someone failing then feel good about it?

Oh, and I only have four pairs of shoes/boots!

I'd like to see a poll to see what people think of polls and more specifically of their pollsters who happen to call at the most inopportune of times. Actually, I don't give a crap what anybody else thinks as what really counts is my opinion. :-D

 

I can help you out here, for the most part i'd say 75-80% of men really do not care about shoes. Most have 1 pair of dress shoes for weddings/funerals, 1 pair of "pop to the corner store" runners/hikers and 1 pair of work boots.

Depending on where you live you can also add 1-5 pairs of hunting boots to that list.
Alsot the addition of Golf shoes and Sandles could come into play here.
Most men who work physical labour jobs will spend an average of 5-8 minutes buying new shoes while those who work desk type jobs will take around 20-30 minutes.
Those buying sports shoes often take upwards of 45 minutes.

The type of man who takes on average the longest to buy new shoes and has the most pairs would be Jamaicans looking to impress the ladies back home.

The only factor that can throw this all out of wack is whether or not they bring their wife/girlfriend and whether she is really interested.
If she doesn't care it will half the time spent, if she wants him to have new shoes she will decide what he gets reguardless of comfort or fit.

To answer the original question simply..... The average adult male has 3-6 pairs of shoes they wear on a regular basis (at least 3 times per years)

Me personally...

1 pair of work boots
1 pair black cheap dress shoes.
1 pair of running shoes.
1 pair of sandles.
1 Old pair of runners that are trashed but good for working outside in summer.

Oh and 1 pair of slip on Clarks and a pair f black ankle boots....... but only because the were free.... yes they were new lol

2 pairs converse
2 pairs 'proper' black shoes
2 pairs trainers (1 really comfy old pair, 1 that i run in)
2 pairs wellies :-D (different patterns, and 1 size slightly bigger for more pairs of socks) WHERE ARE YOUR WELLIES GUYS???

1 pair 'spikes' (track) running shoes
1 pair of slippers

and probably some others hidden somewhere in my bedroom that i've forgotten about at the moment... rolleyes

I 'prolly have about 20 pairs of shoes/boots of some sort or another. I regularly wear about 4 of the dress shoes and several of the yard/work boots. The runners, I wear when I'm, well - ...running. Yep, I have two pairs of Wellies, (long black and short white), but they get used about as often as my jungle combat boots rolleyes )
Shirts - I don't rightly know - maybe about 40 or so.
(Does that make me a 'girly-boy'? :-o).

I got old shoes. So old that they smell and I got to constantly wash/spray and misc things to get smell to calm down. Each time I see my family they mention why don't you buy new shoes or ask for them for xmas/bday. Even tho I did get a pair of news ones last year I still wear the old smelly ones cause I like them still. And there not falling apart.

 

I don't think anyone wants me to list all the different shoes I have. :-D

I used to LOVE Miami.. What other people thought cringe-worthy, I lived for.. Horatio's cheesy one-liners. Once they got rid of Delko, however, I lost interest and stopped watching.

Is he? I might have to watch it again. I watched the episode right before he left and they had the new guy, I forgot his name, and he was such a tool rolleyes He actually cemented my decision on not watching it anymore but I heard he's not there anymore.

A poll on how many people still have floppys stored somewhere in their computer room. I say this because I just got rid of a boxful recently.

My wife says the difference is men wear their shoes out, throw them away, women keep all their shoes nice and new looking so why get rid of them.

1 Slippers

1 hiking boots - day use
1 wellies - at parents, probably don't fit any more.
