Please download Look2Me-Destroyer.exe to your desktop.
    • Close all windows before continuing.
    • Double-click Look2Me-Destroyer.exe to run it.
    • Put a check next to Run this program as a task.
    • You will receive a message saying Look2Me-Destroyer will close and re-open in approximately 10 seconds. Click OK
    • When Look2Me-Destroyer re-opens, click the Scan for L2M button, your desktop icons will disappear, this is normal.
    • Once it's done scanning, click the Remove L2M button.
    • You will receive a Done Scanning message, click OK.
    • When completed, you will receive this message: Done removing infected files! Look2Me-Destroyer will now shutdown your computer, click OK.
    • Your computer will then shutdown.
    • Turn your computer back on.
    • Please post the contents of C:\Look2Me-Destroyer.txt.
If Look2Me-Destroyer does not reopen automatically, reboot and try again.

If you receive a message from your firewall about this program accessing the internet please allow it.

If you receive a runtime error '339' please download MSWINSCK.OCX from the link below and place it in your C:\Windows\System32 Directory.
    http://www.ascentive.com/support/new/images/lib/MSWINSCK.OCX

Then also attach a new HJT log and let me know how things are working.

Question: Is the below valid for you?

    R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar,LinksFolderName = £¹cza

I have just completed the look2me thing and since rebooting and writing this there have been no pop ups! :D So hopefully its all cleared up.

re: Łącza in the hyjack this log. (Perhaps your computer doesnt read the strange Polish charaters) This computer is running a Polish version of windows and this word means Links which is in the right hand side of the internet browser. So i guess this is ok.

Thanks a million for your advice!

    All the best,

    Jay

    You're welcome!

Your log is clean. If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to go back to step 1 of the READ & RUN ME to Disable System Restore which will flush your Restore Points. Then reboot and enable System Restore to create a new clean Restore Point.

After that, you should work thru the below link:

    1. I assume you did step 9 and now have a Password where you did not have one before.
    2. Perhaps you added a firewall and you are not giving the ftp application permission thru the firewall.
    3. I'm not sure exactly what you mean by transfers. And again programs have to be allow thru the firewall. Also, note that protection does have a price. And the price is some performance. But without proper protection, you could spend all of your time fixing your malware problems.

Ok, ive tried uploading the file to the ftp server from another computer and its the same problem.
By transfers I mean transfering files over MSN messenger. They are going really slowly. I didnt intentionally add a firewall.

Thus the problem is not with your PC.

It is part of the How to Protect yourself from malware! that I asked you to run. Did you run these steps or not?

If it is slow it could just be normal. I don't know what your reference point is.
