Pop Ups

Hey all,

Ive been having some trouble lately with excessive pop-ups mainly in chinese(?). Before finding this forum I scanned my computer with spybot s&d which revealed malware such as smitfraud-c, boran.g and sogou. On fixing both boran and sogou were removed, but smitfraud remained, and after a restart all programs reappeared. The problem has become so bad that I have trouble running my computer normally (i.e have to run in safe mode) as the sheer amount of pop-ups cause my comp to crash/run extremely slow.

I have been through the steps in read/run me first, which have slightly lessened, but not fixed the problem. I was unable to scan with counterspy, and was also unable to use hijackthis (after following instructions in the thread, I received an error upon opening saying "unexpected error"). All other logs are included.

After following all the steps to download, install and rename hijackthis, I receive an "unexpected error" when trying to run the program...

 

Okay, I've managed to get hijack this to run... turns out that I didn't have the visual basic runtime libraries installed. Anyway, please find attached my hjt log. Any help will be much appreciated...

 

To be honest with you, your system is so heavily infected with multiple Trojans; that it will be difficult at best to clean the system. And then I can't guarantee that the system is clean.

At this point it may be best to do a "Clean" install of Windows.
