pop-ups

Can someone please tell me if there is an effective pop-up blocking software. I am about to loose my mind. The most annoying pop-up is the one advertising to "Stop pop-ups". This one pops up several times while i'm online and is really beginning to annoy the crap out of me. Please talk me off this ledge before I abandon all hope!

Yeah, switch to Mozilla Firebird 0.6.1. The built-in Pop-Up stopper works like a charm! And it's a better browser than IE by a Looooong shot!

 

Download Google's toolbar.contain's a popup blocker.One of the best

Here's an okay blocker and it's free panicware
Also you might consider My IE2
or SlimBrowser. Both have built in pop up blockers.

Thanks a boatload! I went to the site you recommended and found an awesome blocker called "NO ADS". This is by far the best I have seen to date. As soon as something pops-up you simply add it to your "add to targets" list and you won't see it again. Thanks to all who made suggestions.
