Popups? How do I properly set up MSN chat?

I am using winxp sp2 and have been using the Firefox browser for a long time. Well, looks like I am being drug kicking and screaming into the interweb 'chat' thing. I need to chat with a guy on the west coast, and he is on MSN. I installed it, and it said it would not run with the pop up blocker. So I was planning on just disabling the pop up blocker when talking to him, then go back to my pop up free web browsing.

Well, that worked, for a while, now I am getting pop ups with the pop up blocker on! Driving me crazy! Any ideas? Firefox is up to date, windows is up to date on updates. I am heading off to Safe Mode to run some scans.

Any Ideas?

Ran my scans in safe mode, nothing odd. I think I need to look more into the MSn chat setup.

Got to restart Firefox to get the settings working.
