Hello! Could you suggest any portable anti-virus for my flash drive? Also, what program should I put in my flash drive to protect it from other computers? I hope that the program is just a small file.

Please keep in mind that ClamWin is open source (good thing) but has inferior detection/removal capabilites compared to other AV's. Read more....

For flash drives I would recommend standalone utilities such as Dr. Web's CureIt and Kaspersky's AVP tool. Both of these tools do not offer auto-updates or real-time protection, but their installers are updated several times each day so you must download the new version each time. Otherwise you may want to consider running online virus/malware scans that offer detection/removal from reputable vendors such as F-Secure, NOD32, and Bitdefender.

All links to files are from the original vendor's website. FWIW the Kaspersky AVP Tool on MajorGeeks is dated 12-19-2007, and you get a 404 if you click the URL for the Author's site. Since the tool is updated several times each day, and a new build is placed on Kaspersky's FTP, the filename will change. The same goes for Dr.Web's CureIt, however if you click the Author's link you get the newest version since they use the same filename, but the MajorGeek URL's are hosting extremely outdated versions. :major
