portable software

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone colud explain to me How portable sotware works with a USB drive.??

Is it that you can run an application from your USB disk?

Or do you need a special form of USB disk?

PS: I'd also recommend PCUtilities monthly mag, published in the UK and available in the USA and Australia. They always include portable apps in their monthly DVD. Been buying it for many years (only one I buy on a regular basis) Baz
