    Hi,

Yesterday while googling I clicked a link and immediatly got a pop-up that said my computer is infected. I quickly closed the pop-up only to get redirected to another site with a page where it seemed to download something on my comp. I quickly left that page aswell.

I have done the "Read & RUN ME FIRST" and everything seemed pretty much ok. I'm not very good at computers though so I would appreciate if someone could take a look at my logs to see if there's anything odd.

    Regards

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

First you need to uninstall your copy of SUPERAntiSpyware which is out of date. You then need to download what we gave you in the READ & RUN ME and install it and then immediately update it from within the program to get the current databases. Then run a new scan and attach the new log.

Did you run CCleaner to cleanup temp file????

To get started, please attach the below 3 files individual files. If I need other separate logs from the MGtools folder, I will ask for them later.

    • C:\MGtools\hijackthis.log
    • C:\MGtools\newfiles.txt
    • C:\MGtools\runkeys.txt
Also please explain what current malware problems you are having.

    Yes I did run CCleaner.

I have now unistalled Superantispyware and installed a new version.

I currently don't have any visible problems with my computer. I just wanted to make sure I didn't get any keyloggers or similar following what happened to me, explained in my fist post.

Thanks for you assistance by the way. I really appreciate it.

    Regards
    Beppe

We only have some minor items to remove and then final steps.

Run C:\MGtools\analyse.exe by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator). This is really HijackThis (select Do a system scan only) and select the following lines but DO NOT CLICK FIX until you exit all browser sessions including the one you are reading in right now:

    O2 - BHO: DealioBHO Class - {6A87B991-A31F-4130-AE72-6D0C294BF082} - C:\Program\Dealio\kb124\Dealio.dll (file missing)
    O3 - Toolbar: Dealio - {E67C74F4-A00A-4F2C-9FEC-FD9DC004A67F} - C:\Program\Dealio\kb124\Dealio.dll (file missing)
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [QuickTime Task] "C:\Program\QuickTime\QTTask.exe" -atboottime
    O4 - Startup: iWin Desktop Alerts.lnk = C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\iWin Games\DesktopAlerts\DesktopAlerts.exe
    O8 - Extra context menu item: Compare Prices with &Dealio - C:\Documents and Settings\Eugen\Application Data\Dealio\kb124\res\DealioSearch.html
    O9 - Extra button: Dealio - {E908B145-C847-4e85-B315-07E2E70DECF8} - C:\Program\Dealio\kb124\Dealio.dll (file missing)
    O9 - Extra 'Tools' menuitem: Dealio - {E908B145-C847-4e85-B315-07E2E70DECF8} - C:\Program\Dealio\kb124\Dealio.dll (file missing)

    After clicking Fix, exit HJT.

After doing the above, your logs will be clean.

If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommed you keep SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware. Unless you purchase them, they provide no protection. They do not use any significant amount of resources ( except a little disk space ) until you run a scan.
    2. If we had you use ComboFix, uninstall ComboFix (This uninstall will only work as written if you installed ComboFix on your Desktop like we requested.)
      • Click START then RUN and enter the below into the run box and then click OK. Note the quotes are required
      • "%userprofile%\Desktop\combofix" /u
        • Notes: The space between the combofix" and the /u, it must be there.
        • This will uninstall ComboFix and also reset hidden files and folders settings back to Windows defaults.
      • Delete the C:\combofix folder from combofix (if it exists)
    3. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.
    4. If we had you download any registry patches like fixme.reg or fixWLK.reg (or any others), you can delete these files now.
    5. If running Vista, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    6. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis.
    7. You can delete the C:\MGtools folder and the C:\MGtools.exe file. You can also delete the C:\MGlogs.zip
    8. If you are running Vista, Windows XP or Windows ME, do the below:
      • Refer to the cleaning steps in the READ ME for your Window version and see the steps to Disable System Restore which will flush your Restore Points.
      • Then reboot and Enable System Restore to create a new clean Restore Point.
    9. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:
