    Hello,

    I recently shut down my computer to move it and when I shutdown it performed windows updates. After rebooting the computer after I moved it, my mouse clicks are not working properly. I have to click several times on something for it to respond. I tried using a different mouse that I know works perfectly and same thing. I also tried to update my mouse and usb drivers, but they are all up to date. I followed the read and run me first guidelines and several things were detected, but the problem persists. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am running windows xp and the mouse is a wired usb optical.

    Today a fake internet explorer icon appeared on my desktop. All the scans say I have zeroaccess. Any specific advice for how to remove it successfully based on the logs I submitted? Thanks so much for your help!

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

    Now re-run RogueKiller and run a scan. After it finishes the scan, select the Registry tab and then select any of the below that exist and then click the Delete button.

    Then select the Files tab and if the below exist, click the Delete button again.

    Then immediately reboot your PC.

    After reboot, run a new scan with RogueKiller and save a log as in original instructions and attach the new log.

    Now check to see if the below folders exist. If they do then delete them.
    c:\windows\installer\{ddd75066-6f54-96da-4540-1f2d01bdfee8}
    c:\documents and settings\april\local settings\application data\{ddd75066-6f54-96da-4540-1f2d01bdfee8}

    Now run the C:\MGtools\GetLogs.bat file by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista or Win7, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator).

    Then attach the below logs:
    • the new RogueKiller log
    • C:\MGlogs.zip

    You're the best!

    All those things were there so I deleted them per the instructions. Here are my updated logs. Also, roguekiller has placed a quarantine folder on my desktop. Should I leave those things there or can I delete them?

    Thank you!

    Taken care of by final instructions; however I cannot post them yet because you did not download and use the current version of MGtools. You are about 7 months out of date. Please download the current version and run it. Attach the new log.

    Okay that looks good.

    If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommend you keep Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware. You can uninstall RogueKiller and HitManPro.
    2. Go back to step 6 oof the READ ME and renable your Disk Emulation software with Defogger if you had disabled it.
    3. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.
    4. If running Vista or Win 7, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    5. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis.
    6. Goto the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders
      related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
    7. If you are running Win 7, Vista, Windows XP or Windows ME, do the below:
      • Refer to the cleaning procedures pointed to by step 7 of the READ ME
        for your Window version and see the instructions to Disable System Restore which will flush your Restore Points.
      • Then reboot and Enable System Restore to create a new clean Restore Point.
    8. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:
